Event Policy
Rising Ember Foundation is committed to creating welcoming, respectful, and inclusive community experiences. Our events and activities are designed to foster connection, personal growth, service, wellness, education, and meaningful community engagement.
Participation & Personal Responsibility
Participation in Rising Ember Foundation events is voluntary. By choosing to participate, attendees acknowledge that community activities may involve varying levels of physical activity, travel, outdoor or indoor environments, interaction with other participants, and other conditions associated with the specific event.
Participants are responsible for determining whether an activity is appropriate for their individual abilities and circumstances and for following reasonable event instructions and safety guidelines provided by Rising Ember Foundation, event organizers, volunteers, or community partners.
Health & Safety
The health and safety of our community are important to us. Participants are expected to exercise reasonable care for themselves and others and to follow any safety instructions associated with an event.
Certain activities may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical activity, outdoor terrain, weather conditions, transportation, environmental conditions, or participation in activities hosted in collaboration with other organizations. Event-specific information will be provided when appropriate so participants can make informed decisions about their participation.
Community Conduct
Rising Ember Foundation strives to create spaces where everyone is treated with kindness, dignity, and respect.
Participants are expected to interact respectfully with fellow attendees, volunteers, organizers, community members, and partner organizations. Behavior that threatens the safety, dignity, or well-being of others may result in an individual being asked to leave an event.
Event Information & Privacy
To help protect the privacy and safety of our community, certain event details, including exact meeting locations, gathering points, contact information, or other event-specific instructions, may be provided only to registered or confirmed participants.
Participants are asked not to publicly share private event information when Rising Ember Foundation or a community partner identifies that information as confidential or participant-only.
Community Partners
Some Rising Ember Foundation events may be offered in collaboration with nonprofit organizations, businesses, community groups, wellness professionals, volunteers, or other community partners.
When participating in an activity hosted or operated by another organization, participants may also be subject to that organization's policies, requirements, waivers, or participation guidelines.
Changes & Cancellations
Event details may occasionally change due to weather, safety considerations, venue availability, partner requirements, participation levels, or circumstances outside of Rising Ember Foundation's control.
When possible, we will communicate significant changes or cancellations to registered participants and through the appropriate Rising Ember Foundation communication channels.
Acknowledgment
By registering for, attending, or participating in a Rising Ember Foundation event or activity, participants acknowledge that they have reviewed this Community Event Policy and agree to participate responsibly, respectfully, and in accordance with applicable event guidelines.
